5 Great Christian Albums to Listen to in 2026
Music is a huge part of life. But for those of us looking for something different from the Hillsong or Elevation Worship sound, finding high-quality Christian music to enjoy can be difficult.
Here are my top 5 Christian album recommendations for 2026.
Saved by Bob Dylan
I’ll start with my most controversial choice: Dylan’s 1980 album Saved. I know this album wasn’t popular when it first came out. People feared Dylan had lost his touch and would no longer make the edgy, biting music he was famous for. But Dylan’s rough voice backed by a church choir and lifted by a fast-paced worship band is so fun! It’s Dylan’s most joyful album, and it will make you want to get up and dance before the Lord.
I’ll Be The Branches by Chris Renzema
I promise this is the only Chris Renzema content I put on this list, although I was tempted to add more. In his most stripped-down LP, Renzema praises God despite experiencing doubt and struggle. Renzema is backed by a small choir in songs like “On The Banks” and “Found,” and the simple sound only adds to the power of the clearly personal lyrics.
Home by Josh Garrels
A string section graces several tracks, and there’s a heavy acoustic emphasis on others. This decade-old album is filled with songs about Garrels’s personal experiences with the Lord, including “Heaven’s Knife,” in which he gives thanks for his wife. His gruff voice contrasted against the melodic accompaniment creates a unique sound.
Child of God II by Forrest Frank
Frank knows how to build his brand, and he has perfected it with this album. Electronic beats mixed with Frank’s iconic singing style and positive themes will lift your spirits. While his songs begin to sound the same after a while, the album can be good, edifying background music.
Lessons & Carols 2017 by Redeemer Athens
The singers’ voices are beautiful, and the fact that the album was recorded live adds to the intimacy of the tracks. It’s a powerful album to put on around Christmas or any other time you’re looking for some holiday cheer. Lucky for us, they post their songs on Spotify!
