5 Great Christian Artists to Listen to in 2026
It’s difficult to discover compelling new Christian music when most of the songs on the radio consist of the same four-word, three-chord progression on repeat for eight minutes straight. But it’s important to maintain a curated list of inspiring worship songs to play on the commute home from work or during quiet moments in the morning.
Here are five Christian artists I recommend for anyone looking for a new sound in 2026.
Chris Renzema
Let’s start with my personal favorite, Chris Renzema. Hailing from Nashville, Tennessee, Renzema’s raw lyrics and classic sound are tailored to modern audiences. His 2024 album Manna emphasizes the importance of focusing on God’s goodness and grace during challenging times. His music is a good fit for anyone who is struggling with doubt, as many of his songs address that topic in a raw and honest way.
Josh Garrels
My parents introduced me to Josh Garrels, and my favorite album of his is Love & War & The Sea In Between. He recently released a new collection, Peace To All Who Enter Here, Vol. 2. His gruff voice contrasts perfectly with the soaring compositions that swell at just the right moment, putting listeners in an undeniable state of awe at God’s goodness.
Forrest Frank
Forrest Frank is making waves with his upbeat, electronic melodies that spread positivity and inspire listeners to live a life that reflects their relationship with Jesus. If you’re not totally fed up with the artists being played on the radio, Frank is a good choice. He released five albums last year and puts out singles like Chick fil-A pumps out waffle fries.
Liz Vice
An artist you may not know is Liz Vice. She’s ideal for anyone looking for a more traditional gospel/R&B sound. She mixes powerful vocals with modern, foot-tapping beats, producing a beautiful, fresh sound that tells a story. Her music reflects her New York City life, making listeners feel like they’re in a bustling café in the Big Apple surrounded by joyous, music-loving fellow believers.
The Red Clay Strays
The Red Clay Strays is a less traditional Christian band. While they don’t solely make religious music, their second album, Made By These Moments, includes songs about wrestling with doubts before ultimately remembering that God is in control. It’s a powerful exploration of faith featuring the incredible vocals of lead singer Brandon Coleman. The band’s collaboration with NEEDTOBREATHE on the song “Momma Loves Me” is a standout.
