Exclusive Track Premiere: “Dietrich’s Theme” From The Bonhoeffer OST

Angel Studio’s highly anticipated new film, Bonhoeffer: Pastor. Spy. Assassin hits theaters on November 22nd. The historical biopic depicts the inspiring life of Dietrich Bonhoeffer and his moral courage to fight against the evil Nazi regime and corruption in the church. You can read our full review of the film here, and view our conversation with producer John Scanlon here.

A contributing element in successfully bringing Bonhoeffer’s story to life is through the film’s music. Created by composers Antonio Pinto and Gabriel Ferreira, the Bonhoeffer—Original Motion Picture Soundtrack (Lakeshore Records) is set to release alongside the film. Regarding the musical vision for the score, Pinto notes, “The Bonhoeffer soundtrack aims to guide the viewer through Dietrich’s journey to find his true calling with a mix of emotional orchestra and thrilling weird sounds. The score highlights both his love and devotion to family and God, and the terrors faced during the war.”

Here at The Collision, we are excited to debut one of the tracks from that soundtrack. The captivating track, titled “Dietrich’s Theme”, showcases the soundtrack’s unique musical approach. You can listen to the track below:
