Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power (Episode 1&2 Review)

The wait is over. Although it may seem only a blink of eye to an immortal elf, it has been eight long years since mortal human audiences last cinematically visited J. R. R. Tolkien’s beloved world of Middle-Earth (and nineteen years since the completion of Peter Jackson’s critically acclaimed The Lord of the Rings trilogy).

Streaming on Amazon Prime Video, Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power is a prequel series set during the 2nd Age of Middle-Earth, thousands of years before the events of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. With a record-setting budget and beloved source material, it is one of the most buzzworthy and anticipated shows in years. Check out our video review above to hear our initial thoughts and impressions on the first two episodes, and hopes for the rest of the season.
