Monthly Music Recommendations: Top 5 Christian Songs for July 2026

One Monday morning, I chose to put on my UK Christian rap playlist for a change of pace. Not only was it an unusually productive morning, but I found I had an unexpected connection to the lyrics. Consequently, for this month’s recommendations, I decided to share my favorite UK Christian rap songs and artists. Some people may be new to this genre. But with an open mind, even unfamiliar music can lift your heart.

“S.C.A.R.S.” by J.T. Suavé

The first time I really listened to the lyrics, I was nearly brought to tears. J.T. Suavé was afflicted with cancer, but God brought him through. He raps about the purpose in his pain and how that challenging season led to his walk with Jesus. He has scars, but they demonstrate the joy and peace a relationship with the Creator brings.

“Keep My Faith” by Y Shadey

This was the first UK Christian rap song I ever heard, so it’s a classic to me. A simple beat, fun background vocals, and lyrics filled with Gen Z slang make for a light, easy listen. Y Shadey (who will re-appear later on this list) raps about having faith throughout the week, not just on Sundays. He challenges listeners to keep their faith when the sun is shining as well as when it’s raining.

“He Called Me” by Eugy

Eugy has the most complex composition so far, beginning with a reverent prayer that builds up to the first verse. He urges listeners to look at themselves and their sin and then offers a word of hope. He raps about his past mistakes and then says, “I was covered in sin, covered in filth, still he called me.” Eugy tells God that he will honor his name and let the whole world know about him.

“Diego” by Josh P

Ok, this isn’t technically U.K. rap, but it was too good not to include on this list. This song sets off at a sprint and never slows down. Josh P sings about how his life mission is to let God use him in every aspect of his life. It’s an incredibly fun, fast song that immediately grabs listeners’ attention with these God-glorifying lyrics: “I just had to thank God for his grace ’cause he went and saved a wretch like me, okay, okay.”

“Trumpets” by Y Shadey

I love how this song begins with an intense piano solo and a sound bite from a sermon. Y Shadey (I told you he’d be back) starts off with allusions to Revelation, “What’re you gonna do when the trumpet sound? When Jesus comes on the throne are you gonna rise up or stay on the ground?” It’s a sobering reminder that the end is coming, and we must be ready.

Thank you for joining us this month! Stay tuned for our August recommendations and let us know what you thought of the songs!
