Monthly Music Recommendations: Top 5 Christian Songs for June 2026
Summer is upon us! Here are some tunes to bop around to in the hot June sun!
“The Saints” by Andy Mineo, Trip Lee, KB
Starting off with a remix of the Overture to William Tell, the artist sets the tone and doesn’t slow down. The song is about being a soldier on a mission from God, with the chorus copying the popular hymn “When the Saints Go Marching In.” Featuring Andy Mineo and Trip Lee, as well as KB, the creator of the viral hit “Church Clap,” this track will hype up listeners to go out and fulfill their God-given mission.
“Good to me” by Russ Mohr, Sho Baraka
A simpler beat than the previous song, “Good to Me” begins with piano and builds through the first few verses, opening up into a full band for the chorus. It reflects on the struggle against temptation and the difficulty of living in this world as a Christian. It points believers back to God and encourages them to remember his goodness in difficult moments. Hip-hop artist Sho Baraka joins in for the bridge, offering a fun contrast to the rest of the song.
“Surrounded” by Josh Garrels
This song begins with rich piano, which lays the groundwork for a reflective listen. Garrels’s haunting voice enters with lyrics that slowly construct an image of a table prepared by the Creator. This comforting story is punctuated by Garrels and special guest Lauren Goans singing, “This is how I fight my battles,” at the end of each verse. The lyrics focus on the true prize: the home to come.
“If You Want To Be Free” by The Spokesmen
There’s no better way to describe this band than as the Christian Beach Boys. It’s impossible to listen to this song without imagining the band members shaking their heads to the beat in the classic ‘60s style. They sing of the freedom they’ve experienced by putting their trust in the Lord, and they encourage listeners to do the same.
“Gotta Have Faith” by Emma Nissen
Nissen has one of the richest voices in the contemporary Christian music space. Featuring a fun gospel-sounding piano and tambourine, this song screams with joy. A choir joins Nissen halfway through, making the song even more robust. The lyrics begin by recounting a difficult time in Nissen’s life when she cried out to God.
