Monthly Music Recommendations: Top 5 Christian Songs for October 2026

Do you feel that? There’s a chill in the air! Fall has finally arrived, and it’s time for some new music recommendations.

“Glory, Glory” – by Ike and Tina Turner

You may remember this song from the end credits of Project Hail Mary, a blockbuster film that contains many redemptive themes. This song is, as the kids say, a bop! Ike and Tina Turner know how to get listeners on their feet with their hands raised! They joyfully sing about how they’ve laid their burdens down and are looking forward to the day when they get to go home to Jesus.

“Your Cross, O Lord” – by Joyful Noise

A classic tune, this song is played on a piano and sung by a perfectly harmonized chorus of worshipers. It’s an easy melody to learn, making for a peaceful worship experience. The vocalists remind listeners that they never walk alone.

“God, Be Merciful to Me” – by Providence

This intimate song features a simple guitar and piano tune and clear, worshipful vocals. The song sounds like fall and is a perfect soundtrack for a crisp morning stroll amid the changing foliage.

“There Came a Light” – by Chris Renzema and Moriah Hazeltine

With a classic Renzema-style sound, this song is personal and honest. Both singers compare themselves to Bible characters who recognized their need for a savior. Hazeltine’s folky voice perfectly harmonizes with Renzema’s. It’s another song that’s perfect for fall.

“Ancient Doors” – by Josh Garrels and Cether

Opening with the dreamlike plucking of stringed instruments, this song has a vaguely island feel. Garrels’s haunting voice sings the first verse and is joined by Cether in the second. It’s a pretty song in which the vocalists call out to the Lord and sing about their love for Jesus.

Thanks for tuning in monthly for new music recommendations! I’ve created a Spotify playlist (I apologize to Apple Music users out there) that I will update with songs from each month’s list. See you in November!
